17.  What should be looked for when
      considering testing a stucco
      building?

If the building is a face sealed building then it should be considered for testing.  If the building has no overhangs, or small overhangs it should be considered for testing.  If you see any stains coming out of the stucco or along the bottom edge of the stucco….particularly brown/black or rust staings…you should consider testing.  If the building has balconies or decks that have stucco walls that are unprotected by a roof or overhang…. you should consider testing.  If moisture is detected inside or there are stains on carpets or in corners especially around decks you should consider testing.
If the stucco has a good overhang, if it is conventional cement stucco and there are no complaints of water ingress and no signs of water ingress inside…you may choose to not test for water ingress.
